Difficulties for Lean in Public Sector Hospitals.

I have recently visited a public sector hospital in Mexico and it give the impression we can not reach the same Lean approach than a private hospital since there are different interesting (such as political for example) and lower resources available.I talked with one of the hospital's director and he asked me if it was possible to reduce the Patient Stay Time metric from 5.5 days  to levels lower than 4.2 days in average.I've never worked Lean in hospitals, but there are five points I would…See More
